Ottawa Project
A 1920’s era home that needed a total update/renovation from top to bottom. We started with refinishing the hardwood floors on the first and second floors and continued with all new paint colors, lighting, window treatments, plumbing fixtures, appliances, kitchen & bath tile and an embossed ceiling treatment in both the living and dining rooms that were painted to look like period tin ceilings. In addition to replaceing existing lighting, when the mirror over the fireplace was removed, we discovered that there were original boxes for sconces. That led us to discover 8 original sconce locations in the living room and 2 in the dining room. This discovery allowed us to add additional lighting as well as character to these rooms. The half bath off the kitchen was remodeled and the door relocated to provide for better workflow allow for the rearranging of appliances and cabinets. The original arch in the kitchen was also shifted to hide the refrigerator from view.
