Meeks/McNeilly Project
A complete remodel of a 1950’s home that had not been updated since the 70’s. This intensive project included; removing the carpeting from the first and second floors, refinishing all hardwood on both levels, painting all rooms from the basement to the second floor, installing crown molding on the first floor, gutting the kitchen and creating a completely new design and turning the breakfast room into a first floor laundry. The kitchen redesign included doubling the space what was previously utilized by removing the door to the exterior and relocating it to the dining room in order to make the space much larger and more user-friendly. This also included all new cabinets, appliances, counters and flooring. Repurposing the breakfast area for a laundry room allowed the clients to move the laundry from the basement for a more convenient layout. On the second floor of the home we took a large room over the garage and created an office that included desk space for both clients, as well as storage for their large book collection.
