Galbreath Project - Charlotte, MI Project
This living room was a project in a recently built custom home that just needed some personality. The owners wanted to warm up the space, as well as update their furniture and add window treatments. They also requested a way to take advantage of the abundant wall space above the fireplace, as well as the wall opposite in the 2 story room. New furniture was chosen, adding a new fabric sofa, loveseat and leather club chair. The entertainment center was repurposed by having it painted a flat black to update the design and make it more appropriate for the new room design. Floor to ceiling window treatments were added in maroon silk to add interest and depth to the large window wall. In order to take advantage of the blank canvas offered by the 2 story walls, on the fireplace mantel we placed a tall standing mirror that is normally intended to sit on the floor, as well as other accessories. On the wall opposite, we chose a large installation of weathered stars and industrial machine parts.
